Your Appointment

Your Appointment

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic the pediatrician will decide if the appointment will be conducted via tele-health or in person.

Our office will contact you directly to book appointments. You will receive a confirmation text or phone call 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Appointment Durations

First visit: 1-1.5 hours

Follow up visits: 30-60 minutes

If there are relevant assessments, consultation notes, report cards, ultrasounds or voiding diaries please remember to either email these before your appointment or bring them with you on your date of appointment.

Telehealth Consultations

This type of appointment is conducted through a secure internet based audio/video connection. 48 hours prior to your appointment you will be emailed a link. This link allows you to join your appointment. We ask that you contact the office immediately should you have any questions or concerns regarding the link

We do ask that you weigh and measure your child at home prior to your appointment (BC Children's - Measuring Your Child at Home  OR Measuring Your Baby or Infant at Home)

Please note that we will not be able to check blood pressures nor listen to heartbeats however, many aspects of the physical examination can be covered through a video connection. It will be preferable that your child is present for this video appointment.

If further in person assessment is necessary, arrangements will be made to see the patient in our office.

In Person Consultations

These appointments may take place in the office, at Kelowna General Hospital, at Royal inland Hospital (Dr. Jugnauth's nephrology patients) or in a multidisciplinary clinic. Please follow the directions sent in your reminder text, email or by phone.

For all hospital and multidisciplinary clinic appointments please arrive 10 minutes early to allow for parking and registration.

You child has been referred to our office for a specific reason. We will provide a comprehensive assessment. However, we may not have enough time to address all issues outside the scope of the referral. Your primary practitioner will continue to provide excellent ongoing care for all other issues not addressed in the referral.
